Suzy Khimm is a journalist based in Washington, D.C. and a regular contributor to The New Republic. A former TNR staff member, she has also written for The Economist, Slate, The Wall Street Journal Asia, The Daily Beast, The Christian Science Monitor, and Los Angeles Times. From 2006-2007, Suzy was an Associate Editor for the English-language Cambodia Daily in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. She also spent two years in Rio de Janeiro, reporting on urban violence in Brazil’s prisons and shantytowns. Suzy received her BA in literature from Yale University.
