Sophia Lear

Assistant Literary Editor

Sophia Lear is the assistant literary editor of The New Republic. She was formerly an intern for the Books and Arts section of the magazine. She graduated in 2008 from Yale University with a BA in English. While at Yale she wrote a thesis on Shakespeare and the uncanny, and was a senior editor of The New Journal Magazine.
