Amanda Silverman is a reporter-researcher at The New Republic. She was formerly an online intern at the magazine. Before joining TNR, she interned at Salon, Rolling Stone, and Capitol File, a DC lifestyle magazine. She received a bachelor’s degree in English and history from Georgetown University. While at Georgetown she worked on The Pearl Project, an investigative journalism project with the Center for Public Integrity that is exploring the 2002 kidnapping and murder of former Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.
