Time For Another Beer Summit?

Remember the Boston cop who wrote the racist email about Gates-gate? He's suing:

He's demanding unspecified damages for his pain and suffering - and an end to efforts by Police Commissioner Ed Davis and Mayor Tom Menino to bounce him from the force, at least without a hearing.

I guess there was no way this whole thing wouldn't produce at least one lawsuit.

Gates-gate.  I was wondering when that would make an appearance.

Well, he shouldn't be fired without a hearing. Heck, he probably shouldn't be fired at all. Anyway, now that the most prominent lawsuits asking for special treatment seem to be filed by white guys, perhaps its time for the left to adopt a little of the right's longstanding populist outrage at frivolous litigation and start using the fact of a lawsuit filing to ridicule the sorry losers who run to the court to make everything better when life doesn't hand them peaches and cream all the time. Or at any rate, that's what conservatives say about this sort of sore-loser lawsuit when it's not a white guy filing it, and I see no reason to let them maintain a double standard on the issue.

Rhubarbs,

my thoughts exactly!  They should penalize him by making him pay all the court costs and the legal bills for his opponents.  Tax payers  should not have to pay for defending against idiotic cases such as this.  I hope a judge throws it out before one racist juror sides with this moron.

How can a clearly racist police officer be allowed to work in a job that requires dealings with people belonging to the racial group he despises? It's absurd. This jackass should drop dead or see if the KKK needs a district manager somewhere.

If Menino wants to fire every racist cop in Boston, I wonder who he thinks will patrol the streets and hand out parking tickets.

I smell a new reality show here.

Instead of going through the courts contestants agree to have their lawsuits settled on Twitter. Whoever gets the most tweets wins.

What could be simpler?

Here are some folks I plan to start suing right now:

The Geico caveman

Flo and Progressive insurance

God [all of them]

presidential candidate, Barack Obama

Baby Huey

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

the vast right wing conspiracy

Mathew Mark Luke and John

Larry Moe and Curly

Wall, K and Sesame Street

you

me

everyone else
